Dubai awards contract for new dialysis centre

DUBAI, July 23, 2019

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) said it has awarded the contract to build a new dialysis centre, named after the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in Al Twar 3 area of Dubai.

Work is set to start soon on the project, being developed in co-operation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and will be completed within 18 months, said the statement from IACAD.

As per the co-operation agreement, IACAD will contribute Dh30 million ($8.16 million) towards the construction of the dialysis centre which will be backed by The Dar Al Ber Society, the Beit Al Khair Society and the Dubai Charity Association.

Once completed, 30 per cent of the centre’s capacity, or around 40 beds, will be allocated to patients transferred by these charitable associations, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
