MoHAP showcases bundle of future healthcare services

DUBAI, January 27, 2020

Under the theme “UAE Health…A Shared Responsibility”, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) is taking part in the Arab Health 2020, running from January 27 to 30.
 
The ministry will showcase innovative projects based on next-generation technologies including; the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR) and Blockchain.
It will also focus on preventive healthcare and round-the-clock smart services with no human intervention. This will be the widest participation ever for the ministry in this history of Arab Health.
 
Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, the Minister of Health and Prevention said: “While the UAE is the inspiring the world through its awareness-raising models about the sustainable future, the country’s health sector is on the cusp of a new stage for the next 50 years of its pioneering career, heading to the UAE Centennial 2071 with determination, confidence and a road map for the future.
 
“This includes innovative platforms in all fields of government work, with the aim of achieving important national files to provide an innovative model of preventive health practices for the next generation, towards reinventing future health services to provide predictive solutions for patients, based on innovation and artificial intelligence,” added Al Owais.
 
He asserted that MoHAP’s participation the Arab Health 2020 is a reflection of the aspirations of the wise leadership in the year of preparing for the next 50 years to pave the way for a new era of smart health and innovation through a single national platform under the theme “UAE Health is a Shared Responsibility”.
 
The Health Minister further said: “Through the UAE Health … a Shared Responsibility Platform, we look forward to the next 50 years, in which our health services will be built on innovation, future exploration, and AI utilisation with no human intervention, through smart services that reach patients wherever they are, and through implanting smart devices that will predict proactively specific diseases or complications. This would help allow clinicians or robots to intervene remotely without the need to hospitalise patients.”
 
While Dr Mohamed Salim Al Olama, the Undersecretary of MoHAP said that the Ministry’s participation in the 45th Arab Health 2020 is seeing the rise of its AI-based innovative health projects compared to the previous edition.
 
Al Olama added: “Upon visiting MoHAP’s platform, the visitors and exhibitors can learn more about a unique package of 5g-technology-based smart and future health services which are divided into four key pillars. This includes; non-communicable diseases and prevention, artificial intelligence, innovative health services, and mental health. Our aim is to reinforce the community health in the next 50 years up to the UAE Centennial 2071 through the implementation of preventive health projects for children and adolescents.”
 
“While the Arab Health 2020 is seeking to enhance the UAE’s position as prestigious global hub in medicine, science, healthcare, and employment of advanced future technology in health services, by promoting the quality of life and healthcare sustainability. This can be achieved by adopting smart preventive services that can reach patients, senior citizens and people of determination in their homes, based on artificial intelligence technologies, augmented reality and virtual reality, home care tools, telemedicine, and blockchain” he concluded. -- Tradearabia News Service
