Dhaman opens third primary healthcare centre in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, December 26, 2020

Health Assurance Hospitals Company (Dhaman) has announced the opening of its primary healthcare centre in Dhajeej region that will serve residents of Farwaniya governorate and and the adjacent areas.

Founded as per the Amiri directive, Dhaman is the first Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) healthcare organization in the Middle East.

The Dhajeej facility is the third healthcare center to be inaugurated by Dhaman and is part of its network of PHC Centers covering all governorates in Kuwait.

It is a significant step towards achieving the company’s strategy to serve areas with high population density to facilitate beneficiary access to healthcare services.

Today, Dhaman already operates two other PHC Centers in Hawalli and Farwaniya, and plans to open two more facilities in Ahmadi and Jahra, which results in covering all governorates in Kuwait during the first phase with a total of five main PHC Centers.

Dhaman’s healthcare facilities remained operational during all stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the company is taking various measures to continue to provide safe healthcare services to residents throughout Kuwait.

In December, Dhaman introduced an alternative to invasive Covid-19 tests and provides the saliva Covid-19 test in Kuwait.

The new health center in Dhajeej will offer primary healthcare services to citizens and expatriates residing in Kuwait starting during the beginning of January 2021.

Spanning over 2,770 sq m, the center features 16 Family Medicine Clinics, 6 Dental Clinics and a Panoramic Dental X-Ray Room, 5 Pediatric Clinics, 5 Procedure Rooms, 3 Observation Rooms, a Laboratory and a Pharmacy.

Dhaman Board Chairman Mutlaq Al Sanea said: "As an integral part of Kuwait’s national healthcare strategy, we are pleased to announce the opening of our third healthcare facility in the country to meet the growing healthcare needs of the population."

"We are also currently developing a network of hospitals, three in total, in addition to 15 healthcare centers to provide healthcare services to residents across all of Kuwait’s six governorates to achieve Kuwait’s national strategy for healthcare," he stated.

Acting CEO Dr Mohammad Al Qenai said: "The inauguration of Dhajeej Center is a positive addition to Kuwait’s PHC services as Dhaman’s strategy revolves around focusing on and investing in primary healthcare due to our role in enhancing the quality of healthcare services and managing the health system."

"To ensure this, Dhaman paid special attention to recruiting professionals in medical, administrative, and technical fields who have the relevant experience and notable qualifications to ensure the provision of high-quality services," added Al Qenai.-TradeArabia News Service
