EHS earns a total of 21 international accreditations

Emirates Health Services (EHS) has become the first health authority in the world to earn the ISO standards for Governance, Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety Management, Psychological Health and Safety At Work.
 
A wide array of certificates was awarded to EHS, including Studies and Data Analysis Management, Innovation Management, Knowledge Management Systems, Educational Organisations, Training Management System, Employment Management System, Human Resource Management - Workforce Planning, Data Quality Management, and Health Informatics, along with the international GC Mark Accreditation in Data Management.
 
The list also includes the Compliance Management Systems, Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Management and the International Standard in Communication and Media during Emergencies and Crises, along with International Accreditation Certificates in Digital Communication Management in Times of Crises, Use and Management of Social Media in Emergency Situations, Innovation Management, and Knowledge Management, as well as the certificate for Occupational Health & Safety Management. 
 
Calculated plans
Saeed Ismail Alrahma, Head of the Excellence and Pioneership Section at EHS, stressed that the international standards were awarded to EHS as a result of the calculated plans it has set since its inception, in line with its overall strategy to achieve excellence and leadership by implementing the highest standards in managing its affiliated health facilities, establishing systems to ensure quality and health safety, and developing strategic policies to set the stage for major achievements at the local and global levels.
 
For her part, Fatma Al Wali, Director of Strategy and Future Department at EHS, noted that Emirates Health Services is moving steadily towards further achievements, with a commitment to developing the work environment in line with its strategy, which is tailored to the latest developments in the local and global health sector, looks to the future to identify its challenges and opportunities, and strives to invest in talent to create a highly qualified health workforce capable of advancing the sector towards its national goals, in an effort to achieve the UAE’s vision for the next 50 years.
 
UAE in top spot
The UAE has now taken the top spot globally in terms of obtain the guiding specification in the management of the mental health and safety , as EHS, represented by Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, earned an accredited certificate for implementing the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management – Psychological Health and Safety At Work according to (45001:2021) standard, and abiding by international best practices to ensure the health and safety of employees and customers, provide a safe and positive work environment for employees, improve job retention and diversity, develop employee engagement tools, encourage innovation, ensure legal compliance, and reduce work-related stress and anxiety.
 
Governance and Risk Management
EHS is the first health authority in the world to earn the International Standard in Governance and Risk Management as a result of its commitment to implementing the highest international standards in corporate governance in order to enhance operational efficiency and implement preventive management to boost confidence among customers, ensure their satisfaction, and spread happiness among them.
 
EHS was also awarded the Standard for Studies and Data Analysis Management in recognition of its extensive health database that is continuously updated with fresh statistics, as well as the diverse methods it uses for data collection, processing, and analysis. 
 
These activities aim to provide a central framework for data quality management, in order to develop the quality and efficiency of healthcare services based on the accurate measurement of health indicators, in line with the objectives of the National Strategy and Comprehensive Development Goals 2030.
 
Four certifications
In another remarkable achievement that reaffirms EHS’ leadership in strengthening the health services system, EHS obtained four ISO standards, in accordance with the standards of the International Standardisation Organisation (ISO), which included certifications in Innovation Management, Knowledge Management, Educational Organisations Management, and finally, Competence and Individual Development Management.
 
EHS was awarded the Innovation Management standard, which provides a common framework for recognising and developing a culture of innovation, in addition to evaluating the current performance of an institution, and ensuring business continuity. It also reinforces the outputs of the National Innovation Strategy and reaffirms EHS’ commitment to global innovation standards as a sustainable approach.
 
EHS also obtained the International Accreditation Certificate in Knowledge Management, which provides guidelines for applying knowledge management practices, and offers a reference and guidelines for systematic knowledge management practices, and contributes to creating a knowledge environment for better and faster decision-making. 
 
Knowledge capital
The Standard supports the growth and development of knowledge capital and contributes to the exchange of expertise and the creation of databases of knowledge experts.
 
Also on the list of certifications EHS obtained is the ISO for Educational Organisations, which provide educational products and services, and contribute to achieving better results from educational processes. The Standard serves to rehabilitate the facility to be able to meet the requirements and expectations of students and stakeholders in the field of education.
 
EHS also earned the ISO certificate for Training Management System, which provides guidelines to help vocational training institutions in implementing top-quality training service management system, through a set of requirements and clauses. The international standard also helps determine the requirements of the implementation stages, to set appropriate procedures for monitoring systems and processes.
 
Human Resource Management
EHS was awarded the ISO certification in Human Resource Management - Workforce Planning, which offers guidance on how and where to attract talent, evaluate, and employ them. EHS earned the certification for following a strict and developed methodology for planning the workforce, measuring productivity, developing jobs, and drafting policies to ensure sustainability, efficiency, and quality within a stimulating work environment.
 
EHS was launched with the aim of enhancing efficiency in the UAE’s health sector by providing top-quality health and treatment services, taking preventive measures, combating epidemics and diseases, and driving sustainable development in health care, in addition to implementing strategic policies and standards related to public health and health and prevention.-- TradeArabia News Service
