Nextcare books 18,500 appointments on Healthigo platform

Nextcare, a provider of health insurance services, has logged over 18,500 online appointments booked since the signing of an exclusive partnership with UAE-headquartered patient engagement platform Healthigo.

The latest milestone in Nextcare’s commitment to becoming an insurance market-leading digital services provider with a patient-first mandate, the new service saves patients valuable time as well as enabling the booking of appointments when operational hours.

Available across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), the partnership enables fast-tracked access to health services, effectively eliminating time-wasting phone calls. Healthigo proprietary software has been integrated within the easy-to-use MyNextcare app, allowing members to connect with over 2,000 UAE healthcare providers and more than 21,000 certified doctors spanning 182 specialities.

Members in other MEA countries have access to a growing community of over 3,000 providers, as per their agreed network coverage with the full in-app appointment booking service currently in phased rollout.

Appointment bookings via the app can be facilitated in just a few clicks, patients simply hit the Medical Facilities & Appointments button in order to access the doctors and providers covered under their insurance plan to quickly and easily secure an appointment. Users can also choose to search for a doctor by specifying speciality and location and book the clinic or practitioner that best matches their medical needs and insurance status. Alternatively, they can book online at nextcarehealth.com by searching for a provider.
