Dubai vows better bus service

The Public Transport Agency (PTA) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has vowed to improve its services.

PTA and RTA officials are visiting a number of key spots including bus stations and shelters to study and problems and find suitable solutions.

The visiting team is led by CEO of PTA Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla and consists of Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, Director of Public Bus Department, Khalid Hashim, Director of Planning and Business Development Department, Salem Al Salih, Director of Maintenance and Fleet Services Department, Abdul Salam Al Marzouki, Director of Human Talent Department, and a number of section managers and experts in the operation, mobility control, infrastructure and bus management.

The areas visited included Al Qusais Bus Shelter, Al Qusais Bus Station, Al Rashdiya Bus Station and Al Aweer Bus Shelter.

Al Mulla has recommended sitemaps at bus shelters, place for praying at important bus stations and parking area for the stations staff.Trade Arabia News Service
