Agility wins $25m contract

Agility Defense & Government Services (DGS) has been awarded the base operations support contract for Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan.

The competitively bid firm fixed price contract has a one-year base period and four one-year options. The potential value of the contract is up to $25.7 million.

Agility DGS will support day-to-day base services support and maintenance at Manas AB. Specific support areas include dining facility operations, fitness centre and recreation centre management, off-base trips and tours, equipment repair, and learning resource centre operations. 

“This latest contract emphasises Agility’s growing partnership with the US Air Force, to which Agility brings proven top-notch base service support for our deployed troops,” said Maj Gen Dan Mongeon, USA (Ret), president of Agility DGS-US.  “In order to meet the needs of our government customers, we will continue to expand and diversify our services and capabilities in developing regions, such as Kyrgyzstan.”

Manas AB serves as the central refuelling station for US operations in Afghanistan and a transit point for military servicemen based in the region.  There are approximately 1,200 US service members at Manas AB as well as Spanish and German contingents.  –TradeArabia News Service
