AC bus shelters featured at Gulf Show

Dubai, December 17, 2007

This year’s Gulf Traffic Show incorporated an innovative addition to the Arabian landscape – the air-conditioned bus shelters.

The project marks the start of a new and improved public transport system aimed at reducing traffic congestion and providing better facilities for all.

The company behind this innovative initiative is Right Angle Media which has created one of the largest public-private utility projects ever embarked on by the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA).

“Our presence at the Gulf Traffic Show was a way to further raise the profile of the bus shelter project amongst Middle East’s decision-makers, highlighting the multi-facetted benefits for both transport authorities and the general public,” said Right Angle Media CEO Raman Multani.

“Passengers also have the added convenience of snack vending machines and ATMs available for their use while waiting,” he added.

Right Angle Media took the lead in creating an innovative solution that brings together the best elements of a public-private partnership - while providing a much needed service and at the same time creating an on-going revenue stream for RTA. – TradeArabia News Service
