UAE vows to support industries

The UAE government is emphasising on the role of industrial sector in supporting the country’s economy.

UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri has discussed with Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) Secretary-General Dr Ahmed Khalil Al Mutawa methods of developing the performance of the industrial sector in the UAE.

The meeting was attended by Industrial Affairs assistant under secretary Jamal Nasser Lootah and Industrial Development director Seed Al Roken.

Dr Al Mutawa briefed Al Mansouri on the Organisation’s major services needed to support the performance of the industrial sector in the UAE.

These services are in fact essential to help investors to increase the level of productivity and save efforts and time. The Organization’s future plans were also highlighted especially in the field of promoting small and medium industries, he said.

“Developing the performance of the industrial sector has high priority in the government’s schedule. We will provide all required efforts to leverage the performance of this sector to position it as a major source for the whole industries in the region,” Al Mansouri said.

“The UAE owns several potentials that can develop the industries to be a vital supporter to the national economy,” he said.

Mechanisms of co-ordination between the ministry and the organisation were also discussed. They agreed that the organization will provide required studies to enhance the level of productivity for industrial items. – TradeArabia News Service
