Bahrain Air seals KLM cargo deal
Manama, August 11, 2008
Bahrain Air has concluded a ’Cargo Bilateral Interline’ agreement with KLM.
The agreement was signed by Bahrain Air director commercial operations Mohammed Saleh Fakhri and KLM cargo sales assistant manager Gohar Maqsood.
The agreement will help open up a new era of co-operation between the two airlines in exchanging cargo shipments, said Fakhri.
’This will lead to faster movements of cargo by the shippers, especially between Europe, GCC and the Middle East region,’ he said.
’Bahrain Air is the first premium low price airline in Bahrain to sign such an agreement with one of the leading global airlines in the world.’
Maqsood said he was very pleased with the agreement.
’We have plans to conclude alliances with several other airlines to enable shipments reach more destinations worldwide faster,’ he added. - TradeArabia News service
