DP World’s TCS gets ISO certificate

Dubai, November 27, 2008

Global marine terminal operator DP World’s Tilbury Container Services (TCS) in London has been awarded ISO 18001 certificate in recognition of the high standards it has set in establishing its operational health and safety management system.

TCS has successfully completed the two stages of assessment where its safety management standards were scrutinised for efficiency in eliminating or minimising health risks to employees and other interested parties.

'The ISO 18001 certificate is particularly significant as it focuses on one of the vital areas of port operation. TCS has set up an effective system of safety management that covers all areas of health risk to our employees as well as those who use the premises. As part of the DP World global network, TCS is committed to follow the policy of service excellence and maintain our competitive edge,' said regional director, DP World,  Europe and Russia, Flemming Dalgaard.

With the ISO 18001 certificate, the DP World-run terminal has completed the entire package of ISO certification awards. TCS has already been awarded the ISO 9001, 14001, 28000 certificates for management and operational excellence and is a certified Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). – TradeArabia News Service
