Aramex signs IT outsourcing pact with Beat

Dubai, May 11, 2009

Aramex has announced the signing of a new information technology (IT) applications outsourcing agreement with Beat, a leading provider of software development, business intelligence and collaborative business solutions.

Beat has supported aramex since 2003, said a statement from Aramex, a leading provider of comprehensive transportation and logistics solutions.

The new agreement substantially expands Beat’s application services support and will manage Aramex’s application development portfolio, providing application development and maintenance services for many applications.

Beat was awarded the contract at aramex based on the company's ability to offer a full-suite of both technology solutions and support services, the statement said.

The depth of Beat's software and  development experience and knowledge base played a major role in the decision, as did Beat’s ability to quickly mobilize an implementation team specifically for this project.

“We already have an excellent and long relationship with Beat in many areas and are pleased to grow it further to include the development of new applications and services,” said Samer Awajan, Aramex chief technology officer.

“The agreement will increase our ability to introduce and deliver IT applications and technologies faster and be more responsive to emerging business needs. Beat’s customer support is excellent, and we are confident that this agreement will further strengthen our partnership,' he remarked.

'We are excited about our growing relationship with aramex,” said Mohab Murrar, founder and CEO of Beat.

“During the past six years our support has continued to mature and provide enhanced delivery and support services to Aramex. A testament to that fact is the signing of this new agreement.'

'We are eager to start our services on this critical program and continue serving aramex in ways that provide the performance, innovation, and agility,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
