Gulf Extrusions wins quality certification
Dubai, April 23, 2011
Gulf Extrusions, one of the largest aluminum extrusion plants in the Gulf region, has received the Emirates Quality Mark certification from the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA).
Gulf Extrusions is the first extrusion company in the GCC region to receive the certification, a statement said.
The certification, which was presented during a special awarding ceremony held recently at the Dusit Residence, Dubai Marina, was in recognition of the company’s adoption and implementation of a model quality management system that primarily aimed at enhancing levels of customer satisfaction.
The standard of excellence helps advance the company’s strategic move to elevate the quality of its aluminum-based products to a higher platform and provides added leverage in pushing for product acceptability on a more global scale, it said.
Eng Mohammad Saleh Badri, acting director general, ESMA, presented the award and certification to Modar Al Mekdad, general manager, Gulf Extrusions.
The certification is the result of a comprehensive and strict assessment process that included the inspection and visit of a designated ESMA screening team – which conducted a review of Gulf Extrusions’ plant and administrative operations. The team also made a review on the quality management system that the company implemented into their operations. The ESMA certification covers Gulf Extrusions’ production and supply of aluminum extruded materials based on international guidelines and policies. – TradeArabia News Service
