Bapco probe report ready

Bahrain’s MPs will on Tuesday discuss a parliamentary probe committee’s report on alleged irregularities at Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.

The panel has made 18 recommendations, including dismissal of the Energy Minister, suspension of board members and their referral to Public Prosecution.

The panel has recommended the dissolution of the trade union and a complete review of recruitment and promotion policies. It has also urged an emergency plan to confront future strikes.-TradeArabia News Service
