Dubai EBS unit to start operation in Feb
Dubai, January 28, 2012
Emirates Building Systems (EBS), a subsidiary of Dubai Investments Industries (DII) and a regional pioneer in the fabrication and construction of steel structures, said its first unit is scheduled to be fully operational next month.
In line with this, EBS said it has invested in a full line of hitech industrial laser cutting machines from Europe.
With the capacity to cut stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel, the machines are extremely useful in structural applications where the volume and precision of the metal required for production is critical, the company said in a statement.
Tubular trusses and three dimensional structures are also common products for the machines, it added.
Samir Akra, General Manager, Emirates Building Systems, said: 'As pioneers in the UAE, EBS is continuously investing in new technology for delivering quality metal products and services.'
'These machines can simultaneously cut, bevel and achieve maximum precision in length and inclination angles. High speed, pin point accuracy and increased tolerances are some of the added benefits of the new machines.'
“The range is fitted out with self-diagnostic software to increase reliability. Embedded computing systems allow the machine to download electronic drawings, thereby eliminating human intervention and errors.'
'We have additionally installed the Flying Cut Off system and an intelligent discharge mechanism within the machine to increase overall efficiency,' he added
EBS’ new range of industrial laser cutting machines is linked through a computer to the manufacturer in Europe to allow experts at the producer’s end gain a full view of the machine and offer precise advice as and when needed.
Established in 1997, EBS has a proven track record in providing end-to-end steel building solutions for several of the region’s prestigious steel structure landmarks such as Dubai Metro, Al Maktoum International Airport and Tripoli International Airport, Libya.
In addition to manufacturing a wide range of high-quality steel structures, the company has recently introduced new steel products such as chimneys, stacks, storage tanks, and pressure vessels that are used in the power sector and the oil and gas industry.
EBS continues to provide customers a complete portfolio of project engineering services including structural calculations, fabrication and erection drawings as well as structural erection on-site.-TradeArabia News Service
