Dassault to showcase Falcon line-up

Dubai, November 13, 2013

Dassault Aviation is set to highlight its expanded line-up of Falcon business jets at the Dubai Air Show next week.

Three Falcon models, the three-engined 7X and 900LX trijets and the new 2000S twinjet, certified earlier this year, will be on display at the show from November 17 to 21 at Dubai World Central.

The Middle East is also expected to be a major market for the all-new Falcon 5X, due to enter service in mid-2017 and which will be one of the highlights at the show.

The region is a vital market for business aviation, and with the gradual recovery of the world wide economy it is once again showing signs of sustained growth, said a statement.

The Middle East Business Aviation Association (Mebaa) forecast that the number of executive jets operating in the region will double by the end of the decade, it said.

“We are excited about the way the business jet market is developing here again,” said Eric Trappier, chairman and CEO.

“The Dubai Air Show is the perfect place to showcase our revamped model line and detail the all-new Falcon 5X large cabin jet that we unveiled at the National Business Aviation Association Convention in Las Vegas last month.”

Dassault Falcons are ideal for the demands of Middle East customers, who appreciate the operating performance and flexibility, cabin comfort and technological excellence, said the statement.

More than 30 aircraft have been delivered to customers in the region over the past five years, nearly doubling the regional Falcon fleet to 67 aircraft, it said.

Dassault Falcon currently operates authorised service centres in Dubai and Jeddah, a spares distribution centre in Dubai and a technical office in Jeddah to serve the Middle East market. It also runs a regional sales office in Dubai. - TradeArabia News Service
