Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, recently signed a contract with Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) for supply of 1,638 Toyota Camry and Innova vehicles.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, CEO of Licensing Agency Roads Transport Authority, head of DTC Supervisory Committee and Jon Williams, managing director, Al-Futtaim Motors.
Williams said: “We are honoured to have been awarded over 90 per cent of Dubai Taxi Corporation’s newest tender. This demonstrates the trust that our partners have in the quality of our vehicles and the dedicated customer service we provide on a daily basis.”
“With this addition, Toyota Camry and Innova will now make up 85 per cent of the current DTC fleet demonstrating that they are some of the most reliable and safe vehicles in the GCC market, offering low fuel consumption, competitive maintenance charges and the highest residual value, leading to the lowest Total Cost of Ownership in the market place,” he added.
“This new deal further reinforces the partnership between DTC and the biggest automotive distributor in the UAE,” said Bahrozyan.
“Working with Al-Futtaim Motors has always delivered significant benefits such as having durable and economical cars that enjoy excellent Total Cost of Ownership and high resale value. We are very satisfied with the level of attention Al-Futtaim Motors is dedicating to the needs of our business and we look forward to continuing this partnership over the coming years.
“Our trust in the Toyota brand has grown over the years due to the Toyota cars’ reliability and capability of running for thousands of kilometres without major issues. Adding 1,638 new Toyota vehicles to our fleet was not a hard decision, especially with the numerous improvements on these new models. This will inevitably help us improve our services and always provide our best to our customers,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
