Globe Express Kuwait revenue up 38pc

Globe Express Services (GES), a leading logistics provider, has reported a revenue increase of 38 per cent in 2013.

The company attributed its performance and profit to the growth in Kuwait’s logistics sector, said a statement.

With the first phase of the $1.2 billion Mubarak Al Kabir port in Boubyan Island to be operational by the second quarter of 2014 and the establishment of an integrated industrial and logistic zone around the Kuwait Free Trade Zone located in Shuwaikh, which is poised to become a leading transport and logistics hub in the Middle East.

The firm also has further plans to solidify its presence in the country by launching several new services to address emerging demand in the market.

Mustapha Kawam, managing director - Gulf at GES, said: “With concerted efforts and investments by the Kuwaiti government to develop the country as an integrated hub for transport and logistics, there are infinite lucrative opportunities for logistic service providers in the country.

“GES has registered a 38 per cent increase in revenue for 2013 in comparison to the previous year, reflecting the company’s focus on providing innovative supply chain solutions.” - TradeArabia News Service
