Alba upgrades main entrance, lounge

Manama, April 20, 2014

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) recently held a ceremony to unveil its brand new main gate entrance area and visitors’ lounge as part of its campaign to enhance visitors’ experience during their visit to Alba.

The main gate entrance area was refurbished to present a modern and friendlier outlook to Alba. Additionally, measures to boost security were also implemented such as automated bollards and mechanical turnstiles.

With an aim to offer a friendlier experience for guests coming to Alba, the visitors’ lounge area has been spruced up with new flooring, lighting and furniture, and a reception area. Furthermore, to familiarise the visitors with the company’s safety policies, a visitors’ guide film is on display at the reception area.

“As one of the world’s largest smelters, Alba often hosts and welcomes visitors, which comprise foreign dignitaries, ministries, business delegates as well as school and college children,” said Tim Murray, Alba’s chief executive.

“The Main Gate Area and Visitors’ Lounge is the first impression of Alba and it is really important that it offers an excellent experience for the visitors. The departments -- Engineering & Infrastructure and Safety, Health and Environment -- have done a remarkable job on the new reception and entrance area, and we hope our visitors like them as much as we do,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
