Napco unveils export expansion strategy

MUSCAT, September 3, 2014

National Aluminium Products Company (Napco), a leading extruders of aluminum profiles in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has unveiled plans to increase its exports by accelerating its production.

The company, which has a current production capacity between 18,000 and 20,000 tonnes, aims to diversify its products along with the markets through a phased growth strategy in sales and marketing, said a statement.

The move is attributed to an increase in demand for Napco’s products due to its excellent quality and history of reliability, it said.

Napco’s exports in the first half  of the year experienced a significant growth in percentage and quantity compared to the same period last year. In addition, there was an increase of 15 per cent in its production for the period.

Even though Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East were Napco’s main export markets, the GCC region accounted for the most of its exports last year, said the statement.

Robert Holtkamp, general manager, said: “Napco witnessed a major growth in its exports in 2013 as because of the construction boom in the GCC, having recovered from the global financial crisis. This growth has been a key driver for us to expand our exports along with production. We have obtained agreements with several system suppliers to go ahead with our growth strategies. Moreover, the plans are underway to bring new technology by 2015 to further enhance production.”

The company, which was established in 1984, offers a wide range of aluminium profile extrusions in different finishes that suits modern design specifications and has left an indelible mark on the architectural landscape of the Middle East, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
