Emaratech has installed 150 e-gates in 10 airports across region.

Emaratech backs Future of Borders conference

DUBAI, January 10, 2015

Emaratech, a leading technology company for online solutions, system integration, IT consultancy and managed services, has signed up as a major sponsor for the upcoming International Conference on the Future of Borders in Dubai.

It is being organised by the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai) from March 11 to 12 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, DIFC in Dubai.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, the director general of GDRFA-Dubai said: "We are delighted to have emaratech’s support for the conference. emaratech enjoys a strong reputation globally in the smart solutions for borders control industry and has a proven track record of excellence not only in the UAE but Sultanate of Oman and Jordan."

At GDRFA-Dubai, Al Marri said, it has worked closely with emaratech over the years and its strategic technology partnership has benefitted the borders control industry in ensuring seamless travellers’ facilitation and delivering excellence.

Thani Abdullah Alzaffin, the director general and board member of emaratech, said the conference will serve as the perfect platform to benefit all stakeholders, discuss the current challenges and future developments which will benefit all the industry stakeholders.

"The conference will work towards devising a future roadmap for the borders management industry globally, thereby ensuring seamless travel experiences for the passengers at the airports and other border crossing points," he noted.

Alzaffin said its strategic partnership with the UAE’s Ministry of Interior and GDRFA-Dubai has paved the way to shape new innovative concepts to provide seamless and rich travel experiences to the UAE visitors and residents.

Emaratech, he stated, had installed 150 e-gates in 10 airports across the UAE, Oman and Jordan since 2007 in addition to smart crew gates for Emirates, Etihad and flydubai.

More than 50 million visas processed through the eVisa system that has been engineered by emaratech. Engineered and powered by emaratech, the UAE Smart Gates has the completion of passport control procedures in 8-12 seconds, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
