SKM Air Conditioning, a leading manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, showcased its products at the recently concluded Tanzania Buildex 2015 trade exhibition.

On show were its air handling units, chillers, packaged units, condensing units, split units, fan coil units, swim pool and ducted mini-split systems, said a statement.

The firm has provided air-cooled chillers, chilled water fan coil units, air-cooled packaged units and decorative split units to many projects in Tanzania including hotels, factories and residential apartments, it said.

It has also provided air-conditioning solutions to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.

Shahnam Ali, marketing manager, said: “We have chosen this market because of its growth potential and it seems very promising. As we already have our operations in North Africa, we are here to strengthen our presence and network with industry counterparts as we are now focusing on expanding in East and West Africa.”

The SKM Laboratories are available for clients and customers for performance testing of products and meet worldwide high quality standards, said the statement.

The testing procedures are based on international standards of  Air Movement and Control Association (Amca), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (Ashrae) and Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) standards which cover operating performance, cooling and heating capacity, energy consumption, air flow rate, and other parameters, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
