MMD, a leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, has announced the launch of its latest monitor – the BDM3270QP.

It is available in 32 inches and offers Quad High Definition (QHD) image quality, said a statement from the company.

Philips’ new 32-inch display is in response to the growing market for higher resolutions with pixel densities beyond HD at screen dimensions that appeal to users looking to scale their desktops up a level, it added.

The QHD display offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels per inch (four times as many as the 720p HDTV video standard), with a desktop that provides plenty of space for managing multiple windows with detail-rich clarity.

The resolution is matched by first-rate colour reproduction: with 1,074 billion colours and 12-bit internal processing, allowing the new 32-inch display to give smooth, natural colours without gradations and colour banding.

The display also features Philips flicker-free technology to regulate brightness and reduce flicker for an even more improved viewing experience.

With connections to high bandwidth digital sources such as DisplayPort (for data transfer speeds of up to 10.8 Gbps), HDMI and Dual link DVI, this new display enables users to experience content with zero-latency in QHD clarity.

Built-in stereo speakers provide high quality audio to complement the viewing experience.

The display also features MultiView technology, so users can work with two devices – PC and notebook, for instance – simultaneously, and partition the screen area for viewing content from two separate streams, further added a statement.

The latest Philips display possesses SmartErgoBase, a feature enabling the display to be fully adjusted to the user’s preferred working height, with swivel and tilt functions to achieve the right angle for viewing. The monitor base also reduces cable clutter and keeps the workspace neat and professional, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
