GAC Group, a leading shipping, logistics and marine services provider, has opened four new offices in the US, as part of its expansion strategy for North America.

The Houston-headquartered company’s offices in Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles, are all operational as of today (June 1), said a statement from the company.

The new offices are strategically located to provide customers across a broad range of sectors and markets with complete coverage in key logistics hubs, it added.

GAC’s latest ventures not only helps build on its existing foothold in the oil and gas sector, but further expands its reach in the domestic and international automotive, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), fashion and pharmaceuticals markets, said the statement.

Lars Heisselberg, group vice president - Americas, said the new expansion firmly manifests the GAC’s long-term commitment to the US market, and its local, regional and global clients will benefit from the new additions to the group’s global logistics reach.”

Claus Schensema, managing director, GAC North America – Logistics, said: “The group has spent the last four years concentrating on becoming the lead logistics provider (LLP) to a strategic base of oil majors, drillers and drill suppliers.”
