Epson launches 6 new ink tank system printers

DUBAI, July 23, 2015

Epson has extended its range of ultra-low-cost Ink Tank System (ITS) printers with six new models that deliver ultra-low-cost printing without the need for ink cartridges.

Including models that come with enough ink to print up to 12,000 pages in black and 6,500 pages in colour, Epson is offering a new way of printing that delivers hassle-free results for home and office users, said a statement.

The range includes models with scanning, copying and faxing (L565), and a large LCD screen and SD card slot for easy PC-free printing (L455).

The new printers for the home come with two years’ worth of ink included. The L130 and L220 can print as many as 6,500 pages in colour and 4,000 pages in black using only the ink included in the box.

Also for the home, the L310, L365 and L455 include two extra black ink bottles increasing their combined black print output to 12,000 pages.

Completing the range, and designed for the small office environment, the L565’s ultra-low-cost printing can save users up to 90 per cent on the cost of everyday printing.

It features copying and 1200dpi scanning functionality, Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless printing, and fax functionality with a 30-page automatic document feeder.

Khalil El-Dalu, general manager, Epson Middle East, said: “Complimenting our line-up of existing products, these models feature Epson’s Micro Piezo technology and offer unrivalled durability, quality and reliability. Over 10 million end users worldwide made their choice in favour of Epson Ink Tank System printers in less than four years.

“They are ideal for home and small office customers who want to print high volumes of everyday documents and for whom price and convenience are key factors. With around two years’ worth of ink included, users know where they stand.”

The L455 will meet the needs of homes for a fast solution for printing, scanning and copying – and occasional photo printing – without requiring a PC, said the statement.

Its large LCD screen and SD card slot will make it easier to print out a range of A4 colour office documents, including graphics, advertising materials and presentations, it said.

Meanwhile, the L130 and L220 will deliver the same ultra-low-cost printing with print speeds of up to 7ppm and a one-year warranty (or 15,000 pages).

The L365 features both copying and 1200dpi scanning functionality, WiFi connectivity for wireless printing, and, like the L565, and L310, offers print speeds of up to 9.2ppm.

All three models benefit from hassle-free set up, reliable and ultra-low-cost printing, and a one-year warranty (or 30,000 pages).

All the new models with WiFi will allow users to utilise Epson Connect, which allows printing from anywhere in the world just by emailing photos and documents to the printer, or via a remote print driver.

Epson Connect also includes the Epson iPrint app for easy printing over WiFi from smartphones and tablets.

The documents and photos can also be printed with L455 and L565 direct from mobile devices with its compatibility with Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print. An easy WiFi set-up will help to connect these printers to a wireless network. - TradeArabia News Service
