JAC Motors posts 41pc increase in exports

BEIJING, August 13, 2015

China-based JAC Motors has announced that its exports recorded a growth of 41 per cent year-on-year during the first half of 2015.

The company took the third position in automotive exports export in China with a total of nearly 40,000 units, undeterred by slow economic growth, said a statement from the company.

Although the global economy has risen moderately, the emerging and developing markets are recovering slowly.

In H1 2015, China’s automobile export was predicted to decrease by 12 per cent due to weak demand, it added.

In terms of truck export, JAC exported over 8,000 of its continuously optimised light-duty trucks, among which the high-end N series have accounted for up to 86 per cent of all exported light-duty trucks, said the statement.

In markets such as Algeria and Chile, JAC trucks remained the largest Chinese exporting brand. JAC was also a leading automotive exporter in the South American market including Chile, it said.

Meanwhile, JAC’s heavy-duty truck export has increased by 236 per cent during H1 to exceed 4,000 units, primarily driven by export to Venezuela, where the largest heavy-duty trucks order was signed between JAC and the Venezuela government

Finally, in terms of passenger vehicles, the automaker is currently ranked second among China automobile brands. JAC’s export in this area increased up to 86 per cent to more than 25,000 units.

In addition, due to an increase in sales within the Iranian market, SUV S5 has become a rising star in the SUV segment market with a second position amongst Chinese brands, further demonstrating the quality of JAC products, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
