Ma'aden plant reopens following completion of technical
repairs

Ma'aden subsidiary's ammonia plant reopens

RIYADH, September 6, 2015

A subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) has resumed operations at its ammonia plant after completing technical repairs of the facility's heat exchanger, the company said in a bourse filing on Sunday.

The plant belongs to Ma'aden Phosphate Company, a 70/30 joint venture between Ma'aden and Saudi Basic Industries Corp (Sabic).

The plant, located at Ras Al Khair in the east of the kingdom, was shut on August 21 to allow repairs to take place.

The shutdown had "no significant financial impact" on Ma'aden and obligations to customers were not affected, the statement said.  - Reuters
