Napco reaches out to 200 underprivileged children

DUBAI, October 7, 2015

National Aluminium Products Company (Napco), a leading extruder of aluminium profiles in the GCC, has extended its help to underprivileged children through Dar Al Atta's charity initiative, in line with its corporate social responsibility programme.

As part of the philanthropic programme, the company distributed family coupons redeemable at Red Tag, a fashionable clothing store, to 200 children enabling them to buy new clothes for seasonal festivities, said a statement.

Robert Holtkamp, chief executive officer, said: “Napco has a long association with Dar Al Atta’a and fully supports its philanthropic initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of the underprivileged and empowering them to become responsible and respectable members of society.

"We joined their new drive to present deprived children coupons to buy new clothes from Red Tag. Napco has a well-defined CSR programme through which it strives to bring positive changes in society, demonstrating its responsibility towards social, economic and environmental causes.

"A smile to the faces of the less fortunate made our small gesture more meaningful.”

Established in 2002, Dar Al Atta’a is a non-profit volunteer-based charity group formally registered with Oman’s Ministry of Social Development.

It aims to provide comprehensive services according to the needs of underprivileged men, women and children across the sultanate to help them rise above their situation.

Dedicated to helping the community, Dar Al Atta’a has a number of activities aside from its educational programs directed towards family welfare, empowerment, disaster relief, and Islamic values. - TradeArabia News Service
