The Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) said five of its entities will be taking part in a big way at the upcoming Gitex technology exhibition in Dubai under the motto “Unique Trade Supply Chain.”

To be held from October 18 to 22, Gitex will see thousands of companies, along with 140,000 IT specialists from more than 60 countries around the world take part.  

The PCFC’s entities - Dubai Customs, Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees, DP World, Dubai Maritime City Authority and Dubai Trade - will be showcasing their development initiatives in bid to ease and facilitate the services provided to customers.

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the chairman of DP World and PCFC, said the corporation was keen to mark its strong presence in Gitex 2015, which is the perfect platform to get introduced to others’ experiences in integrating cutting-edge technologies into daily work processes.

Besides it will give PCFC an opportunity to present its latest work updates before the national and international visitors, he noted.

Bin Sulayem pointed out that the participation of PCFC’s different entities as one unit highlighted their keen desire to deepen forms of co-operation among one another, and then provide customers with integrated, coherent services supporting the trade supply chain.

"PCFC, in collaboration with other government entities, strives to achieve the objectives of UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021 and supports Expo 2020 hosted by Dubai, contributing to achieving the emirate’s sustainable economic development plan, boosting the business sector, and escalating the positive economic indices.

"PCFC entities will, for the first time, unveil a number of smart initiatives, projects and services as part of our strategy to fully satisfy our customers and encourage means of creativity and innovation, and this can be possible by providing the best services with the least efforts and costs as quickly as possible," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
