SHARJAH, October 27, 2015

Sharjah’s Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) has announced that its chief financial officer (CFO) T V Ramesh was honoured at the CFO Award ceremony in Dubai, UAE, recently.

T V Ramesh won the ‘CFO of the Year’ award in the public sector for the Middle East North Africa (Mena) region, said a statement from HFZA.

The award ceremony was recently held during the two-day CFO Strategies Forum Mena, at the Sofitel The Palm in Dubai, it said.

Now in its ninth year, the CFO Strategies Forum Mena is a region-wide platform for financial leaders to share knowledge, network and keep pace with the latest financial strategies adopted by some of the largest corporations in the Middle East.

Ramesh was presented the award by Sophie Le Ray, CEO of Naseba Business Information Company, the organiser of the event.

The award recognises the significant contributions of CFOs in delivering results and achieving success for their organisations, added the statement.

Ramesh, who hails from Kerala in India, has been associated with HFZA for the last 19 years. He is also serving Sharjah Airport International Free Zone as an advisor on financial and strategic matters, since 2012.

He has proven to be a leader with a consistent track record for managing a successful organisation and is a recipient of many recognitions and awards, including the ‘Best Employee Award’ from the Government of Sharjah in 2002.

In June 2015, Ramesh was recognised as “Free Zone Personality of the Year” during a CFO meet organised by Crowe Horwath in Dubai. He is also active in social and philanthropic organisations.
