Iran's foreign trade reaches $57bn in eight months

Iran’s Customs Department has revealed that the country's foreign trade volume reached $56.939 billion during the first eight months of Iranian year which begins March 21, a report said.
The volume of imports reached $27.307 billion, down 20.95 per cent compared to the same period in 2014, added the Peninsula Qatar report, citing Fars News Agency.
China and the UAE, South Korea, Turkey and Switzerland, respectively were the major exporters of goods to Iran, said the report.
Iran's volume of exports reached $29.632 billion, down 10.48 per cent from the same period last year.
China, Iraq, UAE, India and Afghanistan in order were major importers of Iranian goods, added the report.
