DOHA, December 14, 2015

The Qatari Tunisian Food Company (QT), one of the leading companies in packing and exporting of olive oil in the GCC, has launched its new plant at the industrial area, a report said.

Founded in 2000, the company is owned 51 per cent by Mahaseel, a subsidiary of Hassad Food, and the rest of the shares to a number of Tunisian companies.

Tunisian Prime Minister Al Habib Essid officially inaugurated the new facility in the presence of other key dignitaries from Qatar and the Republic of Tunisia, reported The Peninsula Qatar.

Chairman and managing director of Hassad Food, Nasser Mohamed Al Hajri said that the opening of QT’s new plant is a step forward in the field of food products packing in Qatar.

It will help in addressing the rising demand for olive oil in the market, added the report.
