Go Smart targets startups, SMEs with hi-tech solutions

Go Smart, a Dubai-based software and mobile application developer, is providing hi-tech solutions, specifically designed for entrepreneurs of startups and SMEs.
 
The IT software and services industry was valued at Dh9.9 billion ($2.6 billion) last year, according to a BMI Research report.
 
Buoyed by increasing modernisations of business operations in the public and private sectors including SMEs in the UAE, enterprise solutions, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions lead the way in the industry which is expected to grow 8.47 per cent per annum until 2018. 
 
Adoption of these technologies and software by public, private and SME organisations will contribute to developing the competitiveness of these organisations globally, it said.
 
As economic diversification take root in Dubai, entrepreneurship will lead the way forward through startups and SMEs in contributing to the development of Dubai’s economy and providing employment.
 
The statistics released by Dubai SME — an agency of Dubai Government’s Department of Economic Development, suggested that SMEs account for more than 95 per cent of the enterprise population in Dubai. However, SMEs still face considerable challenges.
 
Mazen Ajeeb, chief executive officer, Go Smart, said: “Startups and SMEs know the importance of a digital footprint, however most companies automatically assume the digital services such as website, software, and mobile app development is out of their budgets.  
 
"But because we know communicating and connecting with customers digitally is integral to the growth of the company. As such, we provide IT solutions that are customized to startups and SMEs specifically.”
