Equate backs fire safety conference

Equate Petrochemical Company, Kuwait's first international joint-venture in the industry, backed the fourth International Fire and Safety Conference and Expo, organised by the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD).
Tareq Jafar Al-Kandari, vice president for Technical, said: “Throughout the years, KFSD and Equate have launched many partnerships, including this conference, for public awareness on safety, as well as share best practices with specialised organisations.
"Embodying ‘Partners in Success’ for overall sustainability, the two sides have initiated a number of safety campaigns for households and desert campers for public education on dealing with fires, ensuring safety, handling emergencies and other topics.
"In addition, KFSD and Equate staff attended joint international training courses in advanced industrial firefighting and hazmat to develop capabilities and adopting global best practices to serve this country and all its population, citizens and expatriates alike.” - TradeArabia News Service
