DUBAI, April 18, 2016

UAE-based Ducab, a leading manufacturer of high-quality cables and cabling products, is demonstrating how industrial solutions answer real-world problems at the ongoing Think Science Competition Exhibition in Dubai, UAE.

The fourth edition of the competition and exhibition, held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Emirates Foundation, kicked off on April 17 and will run until April 19 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

During the exhibition, students visiting Ducab’s stand will be introduced to exciting career opportunities within the UAE’s innovation-driven industrial sector. Ducab will be joined at the event by their recently appointed workplace ambassador and founder of the “Ask Ali” website, Ali Al Saloom, said a statement from the company.

As a prominent influencer, Al Saloom will engage with the future generation of innovators at the event to answer any questions they may have about working in the thriving sector. Students will also witness the unique skills and techniques used by Ducab’s experts to achieve world-class products, it added.

Throughout the event, the company will provide educational opportunities for students, demonstrating the implementation of TRIZ and Lean methods in project management; showing how to apply 5s, Kaizen and Six Sigma methods on the shop floor, and showcasing Ducab’s Adopt CSR model and recycling practices, it said.

Additionally, the company will exhibit its wide range of products and the innovation that led to their creation, including FlamBICC Fire Performance cables, PetroBICC cables for the oil and gas sector, and NuBICC cables, the first nuclear cables in the world with 60 years of life.

Mona Mohamed Fekri, general manager human Resources at Ducab, said: “The exhibition is a great initiative to introduce Emirati talent to an exciting sector that plays a prominent role in the technological transformation of our society.”

“Ducab is keen on cultivating interest among students to explore the different and dynamic career paths the industrial sector offers. It is our privilege to empower a younger generation in their journey towards unlocking greater creativity and innovation to ultimately contribute to the growth of our country,” she added. – TradeArabia News Service
