SR Technics, a leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider, recently hosted a special event with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) in Zurich, Switzerland, introducing the new upgraded SAS cabin experience.

A total of around fifty travellers arrived in Zurich to learn more about the new cabins and visit the SR Technics facilities, said a statement from the company.

Travelers are increasingly expecting new levels of services and comfort when they fly, which means there is a need to upgrade the cabin experience more frequently. In late 2014, SAS teamed up with SR Technics to enhance the cabin experience of its Airbus 330-300 and 340-300 aircraft, and the two companies have completed a total of 11 refurbishments to date, it said.

During the special event, guests had a unique opportunity to discover a SAS Airbus 340-300, which will offer an enhanced travel experience. Once completed, the refurbished cabins come in new attractive colours with improved ergonomic seats, pleasant lighting, upgraded inflight entertainment systems and new WiFi capacity, making it even more convenient to fly, it added.

Welcoming the guests, Jeremy Remacha, CEO of SR Technics, said: “The close cooperation between our company and SAS has made this project successful, ensuring that aircraft were delivered on time.”
