A number of youth in the age group 12-17 from the Royal Academy of Police visited the company in five different batches, said a statement from Alba.

Riffa Social Centre’s group comprised youth members who were also given a tour of the smelter and presentations about its various safety, health and environment programmes, including the community-based initiatives of the company, it added.

Alba’s acting director for administration Waleed Tamimi, said: “As one of the leading national companies in Bahrain, we are committed to partnering with various community-based organisations who play an important role in promoting the exchange of knowledge and continued development of the youth.”
