Pratt and Whitney wins engine deal for Iraq

Pratt and Whitney, a leading designer, manufacturer of aircraft engines, has been awarded a $42.40 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for F100-PW-229 engine support for Iraq and Morocco, said a report.
The contract is described as “100 per cent foreign military sales to Iraq and Morocco”, added the Iraq Business News report.
The company, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp (UTC), will install engines, spare engines, modules, integrated logistics support, quick reaction studies, over-and-above repair for government furnished property and technical data reports, it said.
Work will be performed at East Hartford, Connecticut, US, and is expected to be completed by September 28, 2023.
