Pelican Feminine Healthcare to source partners at Arab Health

DUBAI, January 10, 2017

UK-based Pelican Feminine Healthcare and its subsidiary company, Single Use Surgical, will source new partners from the Middle East region at the upcoming Arab Health 2017, to be held in Dubai, UAE.

The event will take place from January 30 to February 2, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Pelican Feminine Healthcare is a leading manufacturer of single-use medical devices for women’s health and is at the forefront of healthcare innovation in gynaecology and obstetrics.

State-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and active research and development highlight Pelican’s commitment to the continuous development of innovative solutions within women’s health, said a statement from the company.

Through attention to detail, material sourcing and exceptional manufacturing capabilities, devices such as the Pelispec are the market-leading products for health professionals around the world, it said.

Pelican continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovative products, with the Fetofit and Pelispec Pro-Wall, engaging with healthcare professionals to identify unmet clinical needs and develop a new product’s pipeline that will add to the high quality, trusted devices that Pelican are recognised for, it added.

Surgical Use Surgical offers the widest selection of specialist single-use suction devices available on the market. The company was established in 2001 as a direct response to UK hospitals’ concerns over the cleaning practices involving fine lumen instruments, and how it posed a high risk of cross contamination between patients.

The companies have developed a range of high quality and specialist single-use suctions capturing the same look, feel and functionality as the reusable equivalent, said a statement.

Unlike many other disposable instruments, Single Use Surgical manufacture their products with stainless steel tubes rather than aluminium, a factor that has helped them to become a global leader within the single-use medical devices market.

Their range spans into many specialities including ENT, head and neck, gynaecology, laparoscopy, general and vascular surgery, it added.

Michael Denver, export manager, Pelican Feminine Healthcare, said: “Both our companies offer a wide range of high quality, affordable products that significantly reduce the risk of patient cross contamination – products that cater for both procurement and patients.”

“Both companies are revolutionising the single-use market in their own ways and are fast becoming products of choice for health services and professionals worldwide,” he said.

“We are keen to build on this success in the Middle East, especially in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and Arab Health is the perfect platform to appoint new partners and develop existing relationships,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
