Mapei to unveil key products at Dubai tunnelling expo

DUBAI, February 13, 2017

Mapei, a global leader in the manufacture of adhesives, chemical products and sealants for the building industry, will be showcasing its wide range of products at the upcoming Arabian Tunnelling Conference and Exhibition (ATC) in Dubai, UAE.

ATC will take place in conjunction with the 20th Gulf Engineering Forum, from February 21 to 22 at the Ritz Carlton DIFC Hotel.

As a platinum sponsor, Mapei is set to play a key role at the fourth edition of the ATC and will introduce its tunnelling, mining and underground construction products, said the company in a statement.

With a focus on advancing technologies related to the tunnelling and underground space industries, the event will serve as the GCC’s most important gathering of professionals and experts, both local and international.

Founded in Milan (Italy) in 1937 and with a regional headquarters in Dubai operating since 2007, Mapei has developed a high-level technical know-how in the field of underground works by operating on site for underground construction and mining projects across the world.

With a goal of satisfying the entire range of technical needs of its clients, Mapei created the Underground Technology Team (UTT) as a means of offering highly trained on-site technical support for all underground works, from the first to the last step, said its top official.

“Thanks to Mapei UTT, we are in the tunnel with you, from the start to the end of the job,” remarked Stefano Iannacone, the managing director of Mapei Construction Chemicals.

It has supported many of the region’s key projects including the Doha Metro (44 km of tunnel) and Abu Hamour (9.5 km) in Qatar, the Riyadh Metro (33 km) and the Al-Haer Waste Water Conveyor (12 km) in Saudi Arabia, the Abu Dhabi Step (41 km) and the Dubai Metro in the UAE, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
