Raimondi Cranes names US commercial manager

DUBAI, February 5, 2018

Raimondi Cranes, a 150-year-old Italian manufacturer of cranes, has appointed Patrick Gigante, an industry veteran, as the new commercial manager for the company overseeing the territories of North America and the Caribbean.

The company move comes following the appointment of Wael Hassan as Middle East Commercial Manager, part of Raimondi’s tier one human capital recruitment drive, planned to support the company’s larger overall commercial impact tactics.

In his new role, Gigante will be reporting to Mauro Masetti, the commercial director.

“Patrick’s extensive history in the crane industry, specifically the tower crane segment in North America and across the Caribbean islands, will prove invaluable to Raimondi as we continue to scale,” remarked  Masetti.

“Together with Raimondi’s management, Gigante will be bringing our full range of tower and luffing cranes to the respective markets under his purview, while establishing a strong network of agents helping to invigorate the company’s market share,” he stated.

Raimondi Cranes, a heritage company established in 1863 at Legnano, Milan, Italy, was acquired by KBW Investments in January 2014, said the company in a statement.

At over 150 years old, Raimondi is the proud manufacturer of quality topless, luffing, hammerhead, and self-erecting cranes, and boasts a valued global network of partners dedicated to continuing the company’s presence at construction jobsites worldwide, it added.

On his new role, Gigante said: "I am looking forward to working closely with the commercial segment to add vitality to the North American market, and that of the Caribbean islands. Raimondi’s innovative engineering and design teams have introduced an expanded range of higher capacity cranes perfectly suited to the demands of the American and Canadian markets."

"Further, Raimondi has demonstrated readiness to adapt based on all-important client feedback; this is a rare attribute in a heavy lifting machinery manufacturer," he explained.

Having transitioned from his corporate career in finance and sales in 2002, Gigante has spent the past 16 years in the tower crane sector.

“Working directly with one of the larger manufacturers as well as one of largest crane rental fleets in the industry, I gleaned a tremendous amount of information about both manufacturing and fleet management, and really understood what clients and operators needed," he noted.

"In terms of real world application, problems, and solutions, I often went onsite to work directly with the technicians," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
