DP World chief holds talks in Brazil on FDI, rules

DUBAI, May 22, 2019

DP World Group chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem has held discussions with Brazil Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Henrique Fraga Araujo on foreign direct investment and regulatory framework. 
 
They discussed social reform, a stable and efficient regulatory framework to attract investors alongside public private partnerships to encourage foreign direct investment (FDI), said a statement.
 
The meeting preceded Bin Sulayem’s discussions with President Jair Bolsonaro during the visit, it said. 
 
DP World Santos, Brazil, is a key part of the global trade enabler’s operational network in the region. The company has major interests across Latin America with services to cargo owners and shipping lines at five key gateways on the west coast of South America in Posorja (Ecuador), Callao and Paita (Peru) and San Antonio and Lirquen (Chile) as well as operations in Argentina and the Dominican Republic.  - TradeArabia News Service
