Bahrain’s Tamkeen Labour Fund supports BDFEX

MANAMA, August 18, 2019

Pro Act International Consultancy, Bahrain, and United Gulf Industrial Consortia, Saudi Arabia, are organising the First Business Development Forum and Expo (BDFEX-2019) “Trends and opportunities in Healthcare Industry”, in strategic partnership with Tamkeen Labour Fund.

The event will be held on October 23 and 24, under the patronage of Lieutenant General Dr Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, chairman of the Supreme Council of Health.

The event deals with attracting international and regional corporations, SME’s investors and entrepreneurs to explore new business opportunities and investments to maximise the local content of manufacturing and services in GCC region.

Tamkeen’s chief executive Dr Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi said: “With our main purpose to promote and sustain diversity in key sectors of the economy and promote opportunities for growth and productivity, we are pleased to be the strategic partner for this forum.”

Dr Janahi confirmed that this agreement is part of Tamkeen’s objectives towards supporting the private sector’s institutions and offering promising opportunities for diversification of our key economic sectors as well as increasing productivity in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

For his part, Pro Act’s CEO Dr Khaled Bomtaia stressed the importance of this partnership with Health and Medical Industries Business Development Forum and Exhibition BDFEX 2019, confirming forum’s keenness to adopt Tamkeen’s objectives of growing the private sector and making Bahrainis the first choice in the labour market.

Dr Mohamed Al Khaldi, CEO of United Gulf Industrial Consortia, noted that BDFEX 2019 will explore and encourage more national industries in the field of health via attracting foreign investments in this field thus to achieve sustainable development for Health sector in Bahrain and promote economic growth.

Al Khaldi pointed out that The First Business Development Forum and Exhibition (BDEX) will feature speakers, as well as many local and foreign investors looking for investment opportunities in the pharmaceutical and medical industries in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the region.

It is expected that a number of industrial projects related to the health and medical sector will be launched during the forum, in addition to the signing of agreements between companies, suppliers, and Gulf, Arab and foreign investors, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
