The trip to Saudi Arabia also aimed to promote economic ties and explore new avenues of cooperation between the two sisterly nations and peoples who enjoy deeply rooted historical relations and fraternal ties.

The three-day B2B event is expected to draw more than 10,000 industry experts, exhibitors, investors and traders, providing them a perfect platform to showcase their products, innovative technologies, wood accessories and woodworking machinery industry to key players in the wood industry.

The show, which will be held with the participation of exhibitors and visitors from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Pakistan, is the region’s premier destination for wood industry experts and the only dedicated B2B platform for the wood and woodworking machinery industry.

The show offers a perfect opportunity for exhibitors and buyers to network with top industry leaders, experts, manufacturers and suppliers, as well as with representatives of government bodies interested in this sector.

The show is an ideal place for industry professionals and stakeholders to keep abreast of the latest technologies in the wood industry and alternatives to natural wood products, in keeping with the sector’s approach towards sustainability and environmental protection.

Dawood Al Shezawi, president of strategic marketing and exhibitions, the organisers of the show, said: “Through the roadshow tour, the committee aimed to explore new opportunities for joint cooperation with the investment community in Saudi Arabia and attract more investment into the UAE market.”

“Over the past 15 years, the show succeeded in achieving a leading position as the region’s only dedicated platform for the wood industry. It has also managed to gain the trust and interest of traders, exhibitors and buyers from different countries across the world, thanks to investment and economic opportunities it offers for stakeholders in the global wood sector,” he added.

Al Shezawi noted that the show helps facilitate the exchange of experiences, knowledge and expertise between local and foreign participants, while boosting opportunities for cooperation. It also offers a unique podium for wood manufacturers to learn about state-of-the-art technology used in the sector as well as to showcase international products, contributing to increasing the competitiveness of local products with global products in the local and international markets.

“The show coincides with the remarkable growth experienced by the global wood market, which is estimated at $137.1 billion in 2018, is expected to reach $2012.2 billion in 2025, growing at a CAGR of 6.4 per cent,” Al Shezawi said.

He referred to certain facilities that will be provided for participants such as activating a smart app that will enable the attendees to identify participating exhibitors and arrange meetings with them, thus contributing to increasing the percentage of sales and striking more trade deals.

“The show is a perfect place meeting for concluding on-site trade deals with buyers, as well as for the showcase of products to an international audience in a way that makes their brands more visible to the international business community, “Al Shezawi emphasised. – TradeArabia News Service
