Honeywell to showcase products for sustainable smart buildings

DUBAI, January 15, 2022

Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT), a unit of global technology company Honeywell, will be showcasing its latest innovative security and safety solutions at the Intersec 2022, which kicks off tomorrow (January 16) in Dubai.

One of the world's leading security, safety, and fire protection trade events, Intersec will this year boast ground-breaking, elevated new programme uniting global and regional leaders in the industry, said the organisers Messe Frankfurt.

According to Honeywell, these new products are mainly aimed at supporting smart cities, commercial real estates, healthcare, critical infrastructure, data centers and education.

These will also announce collaborations during the show with leading innovative companies and customers in the region to drive digital transformation of smart buildings, communities and cities, it stated.

Honeywell supports the development of smart cities throughout the Middle East and Africa, where the spending on smart cities is estimated to double to $2.7 billion by 2022.

At the event, the global technology leader will demonstrate how digital transformation is enabling city-wide operations and situational awareness, enhancing the security of citizen and residents, and enabling more resilient and sustainable cities and communities, it added.

HBT (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) Chief Commercial Officer Sultan Chatila said: "Now more than ever, it is vital that we continue to enhance the safety of cities and support the well-being of residents through digital transformation."

"This year at Intersec we will demonstrate the role our advanced security and safety solutions play in establishing smarter, more efficient and secure buildings and cities in the region," he noted.

Visitors to the Honeywell stand will be given a demonstration of various hardware and software solutions that support key industry verticals including:

•Honeywell’s Pro-Watch Integrated Security Suite (PWISS): PWISS is a software platform designed for enterprise and critical infrastructure markets to help protect people and property, optimize productivity and ensure compliance with industry regulations - all while helping to reduce operational costs.

•Honeywell’s Variodyn One: It is an IP-based public address and voice alarm system, designed to enhance in-building voice communications to improve response to emergency situations and general public address announcements.

This next generation product in the Variodyn line can be used for emergency response to support faster egress from a building, general day-to-day announcements, and notifications that produce high quality sound.

During the three-day expo, leading firms will be showcasing digital transformation opportunities for more sustainable smart buildings, communities and cities.

Intersec’s innovation and technology focus will include its first ever Cyber Lab offering a vital platform for knowledge, stated the organisers.

It has worked closely with industry stakeholders, from both the private and public sector, to develop an event that reflects both their current and future needs that offers attendees bespoke platforms to gain expert insight on future capacity and capabilities, they added.-TradeArabia News Service
