Bahrain's Crown Prince pushes for Far East trade links

Bahrain Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on Monday arrived in Singapore to hold talks on boosting economic, development and investment co-operation.
Minister of State for Trade and Industry (Minister in attendance) Lee Yi Shyan and Singaporean Ambassador to Bahrain V P Hirubalan met him on arrival.
He announced in a statement that he would be meeting President S R Nathan and senior officials to follow up last year's talks.
'Our visit is part of a series of exchange visits aimed at bolstering bilateral co-operation,' he said.
He praised Singapore's economic progress, which, he said, earned it distinguished status among the Southeast Asian countries.
He expressed Bahrain's keenness to promote bilateral co-operation in new sectors, benefiting both countries. - TradeArabia News Service
