Saudi Arabia back US action

RIYADH, April 7, 2017

Saudi Arabia said it "fully supports" the US missle strikes against a Syrian air base, adding that it was a "courageous decision" by President Donald Trump.
 
US conducted the strike in response to the alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians in the town of Khan Sheikhoun, in northwestern Syria.
 
"A responsible source at the foreign ministry expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's full support for the American military operations on military targets in Syria, which came as a response to the Syrian regime's use of chemical weapons against innocent civilians," a statement carried by Saudi news agency SPA said.
 
The statement said it holds the government of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad responsible for the deaths of dozens of civilians in in Khan Sheikhoun.
