Al Aqili Furnishings joins Infdex
Doha

Al Aqili Furnishings (AAF) will be the main sponsor of Qatar’s Infdex Exhibition, running from May 18-21.

Showcasing its Officeland division during Infdex, AAF will be the largest exhibitor at the exhibition with an impressive 3000 square foot stand.

This is the first time AAF has participated in Infdex, underlining Qatar’s growing importance to the company as it embarks on a dynamic plan for regional expansion throughout 2008 and beyond.

“Al Aqili Furnishings has achieved significant success and growth in the UAE over the last 10 years, and we have built a $100 million business on a solid foundation of infrastructure investment and a reputation for high quality products and high standards of service,” said AAF’s group marketing director Shahriar Khodjasteh.

“We are now focused on expanding our regional capabilities and retail footprint as part of our expected continued growth plans throughout 2008 and beyond.  Qatar is currently undergoing its own enormous growth phase, indicated by the staggering expected 14.3pc GDP growth rate for 2008 and the amount of construction and real estate development in progress.

“With the additional demand for flooring and interior solutions for the plethora of new project developments in the country, Qatar’s Infdex 2008 is an ideal platform for us to introduce the Al Aqili Furnishings brand to the industry’s key players and decision makers.”

A wide range of office and flooring solutions from AAF’s Officeland will be on display, including executive lines in full saddle leather from i4Mariani – Italy; patented Glide-Tec chairs from Grammer Office – Germany; stylish and yet ergonomic chairs from Sitia – Italy; metal storage systems from Dieffebi – Italy; as well as system furniture and bench systems from Exbydo – Czech Republic.

“In addition to the diverse range of office interior solutions on display, we are also using the Infdex Exhibition as a platform to showcase our corporate flooring products from the world’s largest producers, Shaw Contract and Masland Contract,” said Khodjasteh

Shaw Contract Group is the leading flooring provider to the commercial market. With a rich understanding of individual market segments, Shaw Contract Group designs and delivers innovative flooring solutions to meet the requirements of customers in the health care, education, corporate office, government and retail sectors.

Shaw Industries is also the largest carpet manufacturer in the world, with a staggering $8 billion turnover.

Masland Contract is recognised as the styling leader and producer of new original products to the marketplace, and is a highly respected leader in the industry. Guided by a design sense that has been refined by more than a century of experience, Masland not only recognises new trends as they emerge, but originates trends which others follow.

AAF’s regional business expansion plan focuses on increasing its services, reach and product portfolio throughout the Middle East, and has commenced with establishing new partners in Kuwait – Marsco and Al Balad Al Amin.

Further partnerships are planned for Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to solidify the company’s position as a leader in the furnishings industry. – TradeArabia News Service
