Depa wins Arabian property award
Dubai

Depa won the “Best Interior Contracting Company" award at the inaugural Arabian Property Middle East Awards ceremony organised by Arabian Property, part of the ITP Publication Group during.

The debut Arabian Property Middle East Awards were presented on Wednesday at the Madinat Jumeirah, in recognition and celebration of the success of the property sector in the Middle East.

The awards, covering 23 different categories, were chosen by the Senior Editors and Directors of ITP Publishing Group.

Depa’s selection was based on its worldwide leading position in the interior contracting market, its prestigious projects portfolio and its recent successful listing, said the awards committee.

Abdullah Al Mazrui, chairman of Depa, said the company was proud of its reputation for providing the highest quality interior contracting services.

"We are delighted to be recognised in this way by an independent organisation. Depa has been growing steadily and strongly since its inception and we look forward to many years of sustained growth and prosperity," he added.

Mohannad Sweid, CEO of Depa commented: “This badge of merit marks a great year for us. Our ability to succeed is based on, among other factors, our ability to offer a single source for interior contracting services for large-scale projects. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our stakeholders for their continued support and commitment.”

Depa, which recently became the first privately-owned UAE business to list on the DIFX, is currently working on fitting out Burj Dubai, Atlantis the Palm, Dubai Metro Red Line stations, Dubai International Airport EK Lounge, Mazagan Resort in Morocco and the Arcapita Bank Headquarters in Bahrain and Crowne Plaza Al Khobar among other projects.

Depa operates principally in the luxury fit-out sector with a focus on the hospitality, commercial and residential property, airport, retail, yacht, theming and specialist fit-out sectors.

In addition, Depa is also a provider of manufactured products and procurement services, with a specific focus on customised furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E).

Depa has successfully executed large and complex projects in 16 countries including Burj Al Arab Hotel (Dubai), Emirates Palace (Abu Dhabi), the Museum of Islamic Art (Doha), and Four Seasons Hotels (Sharm El Sheikh & Mumbai).-TradeArabia News Service
