United Design International (UDI), a leading international luxury interior design company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has made its debut at Index Dubai 2008.
Index Dubai, the Middle East’s premier furnishings and contract interior design show, opened on Wednesday at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
UDI officials on hand to promote the firm’s services included executive chairman Mohamed Al Muaini, CEO Gary Lawton, head of projects Hadi Ballani, head of design Paula Letelier, and marketing and business development manager Farkhunda Al Bastaki, chief interior designer Aldo Trombetta and senior interior designer Anas Orabi.
Index Dubai features thousands of international brands, exclusive launches and fresh ideas for fitting out an office, hotel, residential or public project. UDI is showcasing its impressive service and project portfolios at Hall Number 2, Stand 2c71 of the venue.
“We are very excited about the prospects offered by Index Dubai. The UAE’s reputation for creating opulent environments has strategically positioned us to gain a significant share of the commercial and residential luxury interiors market; this event provides the perfect platform for us to introduce our services to an even broader regional audience. Especially as Index has blossomed into the region’s top interior design event,” said Al Bastaki.
The comprehensive coverage of Index has transformed it into a premier industry event. The show welcomed 1,690 corporate exhibitors from 56 nations to 35,700 sq mt of sold exhibition floor space in 2007, with 119 nations represented in total.
UAE exhibitors alone were at 199, with a total of 20,741 UAE visitors attending the event. The current version highlights products and services under eight core product categories, thus encouraging crossover purchases and providing a complete buying and specifying chain.
From an initial focus on high-end residential and commercial interior design, UDI has expanded into the highly competitive luxury commercial interior design. The luxury interiors specialist maintains productive partnerships with more than 100 domestic and international sub-contractors to serve prominent personalities, ministries and major property developers in the UAE.
UDI’s service portfolio ranges from individual projects to contracts with diverse high-profile organizations such as the Family Development Foundation, the Higher Colleges of Technology and the Emirates National Centre for Education.
The company has recently obtained platinum partnership from Interior Design Society (IDS), a prestigious US-based independent interior design organisation, as privileged industry partner.- TradeArabia News Service
